sincerelymestephanie708 (My little fashionista!! Minnie dress + Elsa dress haha)

I bet you won’t believe this but it is actually cold enough in San Diego to wear big coats, scarves, and boots! Actually it has been raining all week here and today was the first day it was dry. It’s been really nice to have a change of weather though. Because of the draught, we will take all the rain we can get.

We enjoyed our Saturday by doing a little exploring and found this cute spot that is literally a two-minute walk from our house. We will definitely be coming back here often. Reagan had a blast picking up all the different leaves she found. We really just enjoyed being outside in the nice chilly weather!

My OOTD (for my grandparents and parents this means outfit of the day) was perfect for the weather. I seriously love this blanket scarf from Banana Republic. It is so warm and cozy and the perfect color! Scarves add a lot to your look and they really do keep you so much warmer. I also had to show off my new MVMT watch that was given to me for my Birthday! These watches are suuuuper cute, inexpensive (especially for the quality), and the best part is all the leather straps are interchangeable with any color they have available. They also have mens watches so you can look around for the special man in your life too.

I hope you all had a great Saturday like we did! If you have any questions about other outfit details comment below or privately.

Thanks for all of you who have contacted me with positive feedback and kind words about my blog, it means so much to me!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all enjoyed the holidays as much as we did!  Although Bryant, Reagan and I were each sick for several days during the break we were able to find a few days to get out of the house.

It was so nice of my Mom and Kylee to come down from Santa Clarita and spend Christmas Eve with us. Poor Bryant was out numbered…like always. We had a nice Christmas Eve dinner and enjoyed having great company in our home. It’s weird not having a white Christmas anymore, but at least we were able to take some pictures outside in the nice weather! My sister is so gorgeous isn’t she!? I can’t believe how old she is getting!! 🙁

One day during the break we went over to this really cool place called Presidio Park in Old Town. I found it a few months ago but finally was ablet show Bryant.  I had no idea it used to be an old military fort called Fort Stockton. Thanks to Bry (and Google) I learned something new.  It’s only a quarter mile from the beach but there are these huge pine trees so we didn’t feel like we were in San Diego at all…. until you see the ocean in the distance. It has quite the view!

In both sets of pictures I am purposly wearing the same black sweater but with two (similar) looks. I love trying to get good use out of my clothes, to mix it up, and prove to my husband I am getting my money’s worth! Sweaters are a must have in your closet for layering under a vest, over a dress shirt, or even over a dress, and you can wear them in every season.  Oh and can I just say, I am seriously dying over the pic with mine and Reagan’s matching color shoes and her purse adds the perfect pop of glam! My little fashionista!

Well we are excited for 2016, we have big plans ahead already!

Holiday Traditions

One of the fun things about being married is looking at the different traditions in our families and deciding what things we will incorporate into our own family.  One tradition we always look forward to is making christmas treats!  Typically we make sugar cookies, carmels, fondants and turtles.  The tradition of making the candy actually comes down through Bry’s family and we definitly have chosen to continue with it.  Although making the candy is a little time consuming, it’s a good way to spend quality time together.  This year Bry’s parents were in town one weekend and we were all able to work together which was fun!

We really enjoy making these treats, but most of all, we enjoy sharing them with friends and neighbors.  Not to toot our own horn, but these chocolates are pretty amazing, and its fun to give them away and see how much other people like them.  The turtles are by far my favorite!(that’s what I was making in the pictures)

Another thing I like about this time of year is the cute Christmas sweaters.  I got this one from J.Crew and I absolutely love it! (I actually picked this one because Bryant loves to ski and he misses it!!) Believe it or not, it actually gets cold enough in San Diego to want to wear sweaters, and even have hot chocolate! This really is such a special time of year. I love getting to see the house all decorated and the atmosphere of giving is so much fun! But what I love most is spending quality time with my family and friends, and that makes this season truly special!

Making Christmas cookies and candy are a few of the holiday traditions that we enjoy, what fun things do you do during this time of year?
